Effective 1 January 2014: All US domestic shipments of Division 4.3 must be offered under a DOT special permit which allows relief for the carrier from US regulations requiring placarding for road transport. International shipments originating or terminating in the US will only be accepted when consigned at FedEx Express staffed facilities and picked up by the recipient at a FedEx facility ( i.e. hold for pick-up). Shipments offered under a limited quantity “Y” packing instruction are an exception from these requirements.
